Visual/cosmetic condition: generally very good; some

 

tiny, superficial dings in the bell flare and a few areas of

 

slightly scratched or worn lacquer.

 

Valve compression: excellent

 

Case: Alexander 'mock-croc'; in good condition, with

 

some stickers.

 

Further details: formerly played in the Royal

 

Philharmonic Orchestra, serviced quite recently by

 

Paxman, London, this is a very fine, free-blowing

 

example of the ‘Classic’ Alex 103 with a clear, ringing,

 

compact sound and great fluency over the whole range.

 

 

Overall, a lovely instrument presenting all the well-

 

known, expected Alexander virtues.
