A lovely W. Brown & Sons

 

horn formerly in a  private collection

 

that is now being dispersed.

 

 

Specifications: 3 Périnet valves as a

 

detachable sauterelle with 11.2 mm central

 

bore.

 

 

Crooks: F, G and A.

 

There are 2 tubes and an

 

alternative tuning slide to replace

 

the sauterelle for hand

 

horn playing.

 

The crooks have a few small dings, 

 

mostly on the G crook, 

 

that have no effect on their playing.

LONDON No 1004.

 

This horn (made probably 1911-1928) is

 

listed in the

 

Galpin Society's online 'List of surviving
