double horn in F/Bb or Bb/F, beautifully enhanced
by Paxman's legendary clarity and security in
the high register.
A 'New World' model, its large bell throat can
easily be 'converted' to a smaller size by skilful,
exploratory use of the right hand's 'middle of the bell
throat' technique. Amazingly effective in its narrowing
and 'condensing' of the sound, it has been used
successfully by many of those leading players who
favour the free-blowing qualities of 'large' rather
than 'medium' horns.
