Dating from 1890-1891, this excellent piston horn was made by Boosey & Co at 295 Regent Street, London.  Its detachable  piston valves ('sauterelle') are by the renowned  maker W. Brown & Sons.   The  instrument comes with an original F crook, a single coupler giving E flat in combination with the F crook, an alternative main tuning slide for higher pitch, and valve replacement tubes for hand-horn playing.
