 Model: 23

Made in: Germany

Type: full double in F/Bb or Bb/F

Bell throat profile: Medium

Alloy: lacquered yellow brass, with a brand new unlacquered gold-brass leadpipe recently fitted.

Bell flare: fixed, hand-hammered.

Valve compression: excellent

Weight: 2.4 kg

Lacquer: reasonable for its age, with a few scruffy areas

Water key: conventional type, on the leadpipe.

Visual/cosmetic condition: generally good / 'has seen some use'.

Case: lightweight, with side pocket and backpack straps.

Further details: an excellent one-owner horn, its design based on the Alexander 1103 (Geyer model). Very well 'blown-in' during 15 years, by a continental, professional opera orchestra player. It plays with an intense, ringing 'core' to the sound in all registers.

Its modest price reflects its visual condition.
