Model:  104

Type: 5-valve F/Bb/A+/E+ full double

Bell throat profile: medium

Alloy: unlacquered gold brass

Bell flare: detachable

Valve compression: good

Case: rather tatty vintage fibreglass Paxman 'slimline', for fixed bell. An excellent lightweight Thomann screw-bell backpack case is available for an extra £55.

Overall condition: Mechanically and cosmetically good, with a few slight brass blemishes, but these have no effect on the horn’s fine playing qualities.

Further details:  An ‘acoustically excellent’ example of this rather heavy Alexander double horn with a very useful stopping valve. It has a very good pedigree, having been played in the Halle orchestra in the 1970s;  it has a sensitive and even response over the whole range, with a very good high register.  -------------------------------------------------------
