Maker: ALEXANDER

Model: 97

Type: Bb/A+/F extension: the F extension is activated by

a 5th rotor, operated by the little finger, 'Sansone'-style.

Bell throat profile: medium

Alloy: unlacquered yellow brass, gold brass leadpipe.

Bell flare: detachable, very light in weight: 340gm.

Valve compression: very good; all the rotors were nickel

plated 2 or 3 years ago.

Visual / cosmetic condition: mostly good, with some slight

cosmetic blemishes (small dings and a few scratches in the

flare) indicating that it is a used horn.

Case: used Paxman black fibreglass 'suitcase'.

Further details: an excellent example of this

versatile model, made in the 1970s, very lightweight

(2.34 kg), with a clear, ringing, resonant sound.

The instrument is delightfully fluent in all registers,

and is as 'easy to play' as a horn can ever be!

It has 2 'JoyKeys' and an adjustable duck's foot /

flipper.
