Model: 101NS

Unlacquered nickel silver, with yellow brass ‘bows’ on the main and the F tuning slides.

Detachable bell flare

Mechanical rotor action

Water key (conventional type) on the leadpipe.

Duck’s foot / flipper

Detachable bell hard case

Further details: a very fine Alex 101 that is rarely encountered made of the very hard-wearing and brilliant-sounding nickel silver alloy.  The horn’s overall ‘cosmetic’ / visual condition is generally good but there are just a few unimportant minor dings that do not detract from its excellent playing qualities, plus one small expertly-fitted patch on the Bb horn’s 3rd slide, 2 on the F horn's 3rd slide and one on the F horn's 1st slide.

This very interesting horn has an excellent 'history', having been played by M. Georges Suc, former Principal horn of L'Orchestre de Paris.
