Visual/cosmetic condition: good, but with a fair amount of 

 

worn lacquer in the usual places, tarnished brass, and

 

visual surface blemishes.

 

 Water key: conventional type, on the leadpipe.

 

Case: original Alex flat 'suitcase'. 

 

Further details: a very good 1950s Alex 103, an excellent

 

player all-round, despite various aspects of its appearance.

 

Its owner has mentioned that its sound 'still has a ringing

 

quality, and it is not too tight-blowing, as are many

 

older Alexanders'.  

 

 The horn is currently with its owner, in North

 

 London, UK.
