Further details: this ‘classic’ 8D from the
legendary Elkhart era has a new Eastlake replacement bell. Its flare has been
expertly thinned in the Artisan Horns workshop. Mill Hill, London.
The original bell (with several patches) is available, (for collection only, since it is
too fragile to ship.)
The horn plays superbly across the entire range, not just the low and middle registers!
It can currently be seen and tested at the Artisan Horns workshop.
NB Price comparison: the brand-new lowest
discount price for a fixed bell Conn 8D
is currently £5,903. Our 2nd hand example costs
less than 51% of that.
